  1. This covers expenditure that the Board issued for payment from 5 May 1998 to 30 April 1999. All contracts placed were in compliance with public procurement procedures.
  2. The following media were used in June 1998: television (RTE, TnaG), radio (national and local), and print (national and provincial newspapers and the Irish language weekly, Foinse).
  3. The following media were used in November 1998: national and provincial newspapers and the Irish language weekly, Foinse.
  4. The following media were used in January 1999: television (RTE, TV3, TnaG), radio (national and local), print (national and provincial newspapers and the Irish language weekly, Foinse) and outdoor advertising sites.
  5. This figure covers expenditure on two videos, the first produced in late 1998 and the second, an update of the first, in early 1999.
  6. This figure covers the full payment for the 1998 survey and the first tranche of payment for the 1999 survey.
  7. This covers part-payment for four exhibitions: Age Action Ireland (Nov. '98), Holiday World (Jan. '99), Our House (Feb. '99) and Third Age Expo (March '99), plus the booking fee for one forthcoming event.
  8. This covers part payment for the exhibition in the EPIC Centre.
  9. This figure represents the total of the claims under the 1998 Programme which were isued for payment in the period ending 30 April 1999.
  10. This figures includes the cost of equipment purchased for making presentations, a radio quiz prize, hire of hotel venues for the regional roadshow, expenses of meetings and other miscellaneous expenses.
  11. This figure is the cost of refurbishment of the Board's premises at 15 Lower Hatch St, Dublin 2.
