From 1 January 1999:
Public Contracts
Tenders for public contracts may be submitted in euro.
Company Accounts
Companies may file their accounts with the Companies Registration Office in Irish pounds, or in Irish pounds and in euro, or in euro only. In addition, companies may file their accounts in a currency other than the Irish pound or the euro showing the conversion rate for that currency against the Irish pound or the euro, or may file them in such a currency and in the euro (accounts must, of course, have been prepared in the currency, or one of the currencies, in which they are being filed).
