THE NATIONAL EURO CONFERENCE FOR LOUGHREA  The national euro conference will be held in Loughrea on 19th February, 2001 in the Meadow Court Hotel. This major national conference will examine the issues involved for businesses. Euro changeover planning, accounting and software, taxation, cash handling during the dual circulation period and the National Changeover Plan are all topics that will be covered by conference speakers. In addition the practical experience of thirty Loughrea businesses that prepared early for the euro as part of the Loughrea Euro Town Project will be highlighted. Conference speakers include An Tánaiste and Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment, Mary Harney TD, European Commissioner for Economic and Monetary Affairs, Pedro Solbes Mira, The Minister for Science, Technology and Commerce, Noel Tracey TD, the Chief Executive of Forfás, John Travers, the Chairperson of the Euro Changeover Board of Ireland, Philip Hamell and Lochlann Quinn, Deputy Chairman, Glen Dimplex Group, and Chairman, Allied Irish Banks plc.
